Studio policies & dress code

We’re so excited to have your dancers in our classes! Attending each class helps students grow their skills, gain confidence, and fully enjoy the magic of dance. We encourage everyone to be present as often as possible so they can make the most of their experience.

To help everyone feel ready and focused, we ask that dancers arrive on time and dressed for movement. Being prepared helps create a positive, fun, and respectful environment for the whole class.

We love celebrating our students’ progress! Each year, we host a special Open House where families can see what their dancers have been working on. It’s one of our favorite ways to share all the amazing growth that happens in class.

Our reception area is happy to help with any questions, supplies, or scheduling needs. To keep the studios calm and safe for dancing, our hallways are reserved for students warming up or waiting for class.

We also want to keep everyone safe during unexpected weather. Updates on cancellations are shared on our Facebook page, and we offer options to make up classes whenever possible so students can continue learning and having fun.

ENRICHMENT & TEAM PROGRAMS
To maintain professionalism and safety in class, dancers are expected to follow the dress code appropriate for their level and program.

ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS

Preschool – D1/2

• Attire: Pink leotard, white tights

Shoes: White ballet shoes (Preschool & D1), white tap shoes (D1 only – no tap for Preschool classes)

Enrichment 2 – 4 (D2, D3, D4)

• Attire: Black leotard, white tights
• Shoes: White ballet and white tap shoes

Enrichment 5 – 7 (D5, D6, D7)

• Ballet: Solid-colored leotard with tights
• Jazz, Modern, Tap: Crop tops and snug-fitting jazz pants or shorts are acceptable
• Shoes: Pink ballet shoes; tan tap and tan jazz shoes (These will also be worn in the June production)

REGIONAL TEAMS

• Ballet: Solid-colored leotard with pink or black tights
• Jazz, Modern, Tap: Crop tops and snug-fitting jazz pants or shorts
• Rehearsals: Solid black rehearsal wear may be required
• Shoes: Tan jazz, pink ballet, and tan tap shoes
• Note: Any additional shoes needed will be determined on a class-by-class basis

NATIONAL TEAMS

• Ballet: Solid-colored leotard with pink or black tights
• Jazz, Modern, Tap: Crop tops and snug-fitting jazz pants or shorts
• For rehearsals: Solid black rehearsal wear may be required
• Shoes:
  -Mini & Junior Teams: Tan jazz, pink ballet, black tap

              -Inter, Teen & Sr Teams: Tan jazz, pink ballet, black tap shoes                                                                                                           

*Additional shoes may be assigned by class as needed

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES

• Hair must be secured away from the face and up off the neck
• No jewelry during class
• Proper shoes must be worn
• Only dance wear is permitted—no street clothes
• There is no dress code for adult classes or hip hop
